Where did yall stay in the park ?

Good advice by some of the TB YS frequent visitors is to stay one or two nights in one location and then one or two in another. We did not do that but after being there I understand the logic. But if you are only staying in the park two nights it is probably best to just stay in one place. The town of West Yellowstone is a good place but you have to drive into the park and possibly wait in line to get in. But, the food is better there.
If you can get rooms I would stay at Old Faithful and Roosevelt Lodge. The issue with RL is the rooms are small cabins mostly without a bathroom. But RL is closest to Lamar Valley and the best odds for seeing wildlife is early and late. The Canyon area would be a good option but if the road is closed between there and LV then Mammoth Springs is better, IMO. If we go back I will stay in Old Faithful and Roosevelt Lodge if I can convince the SO to stay there.
Canyon Village is covered up on the map by the icons and Old Faithful's labels did not display but it is the hotel in the SW corner; south of Firehole. Grant Village is the southernmost lodging.
