Yeah, I get south of Alexandria and I feel like I'm in the land of Oz. And Hwy 71 is rough as the yellow brick road, too.

The BR metro isn't cajun/coonass for the most part and the people aren't particularly short.

I'm a little over 6‘3“. When I was 14, I played Dixie Youth All-Stars. Our team made it to the state tournament. When we were there, our team went to a local Piccadilly. As we were standing in the queuing line, the West Monroe team came into the restaurant. At the time, I was a little over 6‘1“ and was the tallest kid on my team. I think I would’ve been the smallest kid on the West Monroe team. It seemed like the entire team was at least 6‘4“. I couldn’t believe how big they were at 14 years old. As I passed them in the line I knew we didn't have a f*cking chance in hell to win State. Of course, they not only won the State tournament, but they also went on to win the Dixie Youth World Series.
