Now that Shad Khan has come out and basically said that he had roster control this season and will retain that control even w/a new GM. Thinks he's Jerry Jones. I get on Arthur Blank but he's never resorted to this.

If I were TLaw, I would refuse to be drafted by the Jags.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan said he had roster control in 2020 and will make sure GM coming in knows he will keep that control for now, at least.

Honestly there are a ton of coaches that will take that payday no matter what the roster is.

there are some pundits who seem to agree that roster has a very good young core that will grow & develop together, esp. around this year's #1 overall pick (Trevor Lawrence)

The Jags have an exciting, young player in almost every position room. Adding the top QB in the draft will provide a tremendous foundation for success. This could turn around faster than expected.

True, there are only 32 of these jobs. But sometimes you just have to say no due to the situation being a clusterfrick, which the Jags are.

Nobody likes a meddling owner. See the WASH & DAL. Especially one who sees himself as the GM when he has no business making football decisions.

Stick to signing checks.

Yeah he is going to turn down $40 Million and be 1 more year towards a probably 30 million per year contract.

A terrible franchise will be drafting first next year.

I don't think either of these teams will magically muster up a winning record next year and he'll be in the same situation he's in now.

The HC hire will be vital for this team..... they have cap space and like 4 picks in the 1st two rounds.......as far as their current roster, it could be a whole lot better.....

He could drop to 4 and have his hometown team snatch him up.

To be honest, if I were rich as hell and could own a team I’d probably want to be the gm as well.
