I’m in the market for a new putter. Not really a mallet guy, but open to suggestions.
Right now I’m interested in the Mizuno M craft. Anyone have a review to share?

what's your price range? I have Camerons that collect dust and game a Bettinardi that I like better.
Finding the right length and toe hang is a big deal too and then find one that fits your eye.

I second the Bettinardi. Currently playing a Queen B #10. I've tried all of their milled offerings and like the honeycomb milling the best. The slot milled face on the newer Studio Stocks was a close second, but felt a little softer to me. Just personal preference

I’ll spend the money for a Scotty or Bettinardi, but would prefer not to if there are comparable putters in the $200-300 range.
Right now I play a Cleveland I bought 10 years ago for $60.
I bought a $200 ping a couple years ago and ended up getting rid of it.

I never buy new, only used. Premium putters hold their value and you can always sell or trade without losing money. I spent $225 on a Odyssey Stroke Lab Black #10 last year and have parlayed that into probably a dozen putters or so this year, mainly Scotty's & Bettinardi's. Haven't spent anything additional and most of the time I end up making a couple bucks on each one

I was never really a mallet guy until I purchased this Odyssey 2 Ball O-works.
Rolls the ball better than any putter I’ve ever owned and has a great feel to it as well.
I bought it in like new condition on Callawaygolfpreowned.com for around $100.00.

Played Scottys most my life. Made the switch to a Toulon series putter last year and won't turn back. Check them out on Callowaypreowned

Putting is so much preference. You should go to a store where you can hit a bunch of different kinds to see what you like and feel confident with. What I like you may hate.
I have a center shafted Scotty 2.6 and a Scotty golo 7. I love Scotty putters but I’m sure I could find one I liked just as much or better if I tried a few of the other brands.

I played Camerons for a long time, bought my first one back in 96 or 97 and still have it. I was amazed when I went to the PGA Superstore in Birmingham earlier this year. They had so many putters by all brands and I am just not used to seeing that around my area.
As for another brand I would check out would be EVNRoll and Edel in terms of high end putters. Honestly, a guy I know putts with a 30 year old 8802 and is a better putter than I will ever be because he would the perfect putter for him and there has been no reason to change.

Make sure you try out a few different grips too. I went to a 3.0 grip two years ago and it makes the putter feel so much better in my hands.

I know. Forever all I ever heard was Scotty Cameron Scotty Cameron. Now there are so many options. I want to try them but it’s just hard to drop a ton of money on a putter when I have two really nice ones already.
My buddy who tried to play on tour got the 2.6 and didn’t like it. Gave it to me. I hit really good putts with it. Start on line. I just never seem to make many putts when I’m using it. Bought the golo on sale at local store one day and it’s the putter I use unless I’m playing very slow greens. I love it.
All that to say I just stare at different putters online all the time haha
I’ve looked many times at the odyssey stroke lab putter that’s the similar look as the 8802. Growing up I had the mini version of it that I’d putt around the house with.

The biggest thing I have learned over the years is that I need a very minimal toe hang, ie something close to face balanced. I have one Cameron mallet that is face balanced and I can putt like hell with it but it just has a small circle for the alignment which makes it spotty. I actually thought about sending it to the Custom Shop to have alignment lines put on it and maybe finished into oil can rather than the black finish that is on it.

I remember my dad buying one years ago when ZJ was winning with it. Personally didn’t really like the feel of it. But I’m sure they’ve also made some changes in the last 10 years. I’d guess I could find it in mostly new condition in my dads garage

You need to figure out what elements are beat for you; length, toe hang, the ways it’s shafted and go from there. I have a Toulon Chicago without any alignment aids on it because I feel more confident without them. Fits my stroke well.

Get a putter with some tech in it.
I’m using an Edel and has the variable face grooves along with all the weight in the heel for more consistency and it’s in the bag to stay. Tried all the others, and Ping came in close 2nd. Want to mess around with an Evnroll next.
