Actually, I don't think CJ was great, I know he was great. So great, that he's the second best to ever play at LSU. But, behind Pistol. No need to lessen what CJ was to acknowledge how great Pete was.

Pistol was the greatest, CJ was the best since, and no one is close to those 2.

Man - I’m going with Pettit as second on that list. Remember him also. He could flat out score and not just either his back to the goal. He could shoot. He isn’t too 50 for no reason.
I remember reading about his pro career. But in college, he took LSU to a final 4...
He was GREAT.
Shaq was awesome as well for a couple seasons.
CJ was awesome and as a season ticket holder living in BR then, I never missed a game. Loved watching him.
