My roommate is one of the worst offenders. Dude was always talking about how much we needed a “new plague”, but got into a shouting match when I said that government imposing mask mandates and forcibly closing businesses was poorly founded scientifically, more harmful than the disease itself, and a blatant overreach of power. His response was “Well when Billy-Joe f$&kface with his jacked up pickup truck coughs on me at the grocery store because he’s too MANLY to wear a mask and my dad gets it and dies, it’s because of people like YOU!!!”

I guess a plague was only funny and cool when other people weren’t dying from it instead of the 99.97% who aren’t dying from this one.
