I'm 1hr 1/2 in and it's just now getting some action. I felt like they spent the first 30-45 minutes telling us it's set in 1984. Pretty campy so far. CGI bad. Will DC ever get to the level of Marvel in movie making?

This is already at the level of Marvel considering most Marvel movies are goofy and full of too much CGI and plot holes. This had the same vibe.
But yea DC is pretty horrible, Wonder Woman should join the MCU as mostly they are good average movies.

I enjoyed Barbara's tale. I didn't mind Diana's, my son said it was getting mushy but that was kinda the point. It's the only thing she's ever wanted for herself.
Once again thought they did a good job with Steve. I feel a bit more confident with Patty Jenkins doing Rogue Squadron. I think she gets "pilots". Who knows, after watching the short clip on her talking about her father, maybe that's why she took WW

My thoughts exactly. I was very disappointed. It's pretty obvious the people that made this film didn't actually live in 1984 as adults or they would have done a better job on exploiting the 80's. The movie was silly at times and Wonder Woman was mostly the weakest character most of the time. The CGI was pretty lame, especially at the beginning of the film back on the Island Olympics. Maybe there will be a "Directors Cut" offered in this one as well.

WB poor. They don’t have the Mouse’s frickoff money. The Mando has better CGI. I don’t get it. This was another solid effort.
1. Gal Gadot is the most attractive female on this planet.
2. Chris Pine the heart of the WA movies so far. Dude is good with comedic elements.
3. Another mediocre finish. Yikes. WB needs better CGI folks. That’s two films with bad fights. There isn’t a DCEU film with good CGI action. It’s all bad. It’s so distracting.
At this point I wanna see Disney do a DC film because goddamn. Get your shite together.
Did like the invisible jet sequence. Seems they splooged their load on that sequence because it was gorgeous and everything else looked cheap as hell.
DC has too many good villains to keep fricking up their villains.
