Question about the 1990 TMNT Technodrome

The only reason I posted this on here is because I know this was popular on the cartoon and most people on here remember this. This has nothing to do with this board but I’m trying to restore the grey color because it’s fading. Should I spray paint it or paint it? Sorry for posting this on the movie/tv board.

All I know is, I want the shite out of the Technodrome as a kid and never got it. It was also perhaps the coolest Turtles toy ever made.
I don't see in the photo any need to repaint the toy, but if I was doing that, I'd use some kind of specialty modeling paint. I'd stay away from spary paint unless it's specifically made for plastics. It also needs to be flat finished, which most spray paint is not. Stay away from anything with high sheen.

I bought one for my son who loves the old TMNT and The Real Ghostbusters toys. The technodrome I got didn’t look like the picture online and it came out looking like the picture above. I wanted to restore it looking like the original. I’m jealous of my son now. I always wanted one as a kid and never got one. Now when my son goes to sleep I get to play with it after 30 years lol.

I would try soak it in hydrogen peroxide with LED light before I tried to paint it. Saw it done to a gameboy that was yellowed and it restored it back to normal.

This is the way. Is it with any LED light or a black light?

I had just about every original ninja turtle toy there was, but my parents drew the line at the blimp. They weren’t spending that kind of money on a balloon.

I just had the basic action figures and when I asked for the good stuff my parents were like

I don’t think it requires another topic, but this got me thinking. Is the Technodrome the greatest villain lair of all time?
It’s extremely intimidating, it is mobile, it has an impressive array of fire power.
I think some people would suggest the Death Star but I didn’t think that really qualified.

I think that would make for a good discussion, I’d give the honor to Castle Greyskull.
The GI Joe Terror Drome deserves an honorable mention

Also The General deserves a mention

Kids will never understand how great our toys were back then. The toys I see at Walmart now are crap! That’s why my son loves the vintage toys.

It was led lights. He wrapped it in led lights then wrapped it in aluminum foil to keep the light in.
He used 12% peroxide i believe. It was the industrial kind. Then dude added hot water too.
Google it. I'm sure that will explain it better than me.
