Question Regarding Transfer Portal and Scholarship Limits

I've been reading the Rant for years but have never posted. My question is I understand we can only bring in 25 scholarship recruits but is the 25 scholarship limit applicable to pulling players out of the transfer portal? If that is the case, is there any scenario where we can replenish our roster with transfers after signing day or are we just up the creek?

Transfers come under the 25, so no.

Current rules have transfers count against the hard 25 limit. IMO that needs to change

Only Bama can exceed the 25 limit.

Maybe since the transfer portal is so saturated with players, we can recruit some walk-ons or something. Seems that would be better to atleast be on a roster than to just sit in the portal and not play at all.

That's possible for sure. Go find some Louisiana players without a home.

Too much room for abuse. They will never change it.
