Of course man I get it. My argument is against the logic of excluding him out of hand based on this alternate form of reason. I think giving him a shot instead of hiring someone like Pelini was what should’ve happened and I’d love to see him get a shot here before we lose him but I also agree that if we can get a top shelf DC we should do that over hiring Raymond now. But if we find ourselves in the same type of scenario again Raymond should get his shot over some washed up retread who hasn’t fielded a good unit in a decade. Betting on a sure loser is infinitely worse than betting on inexperienced but talented.
