re: Cloth vs leather seats in truck

I’ve had three trucks in the last 8 years. First one, lariat had leather, second XLT had sport cloth (or whatever it’s called), current XLT has sport cloth. After 100,000 miles in the lariat with leather and the XLT with 90,000 miles and sport cloth, I wanted the sport cloth in this truck. Leather cracked over time, was hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and wasn’t really any easier to clean due to the vent holes throughout the material. Sport cloth stays clean enough, doesn’t wear out, and doesn’t change temperatures with the seasons. I also found that I slid around a bit on the leather. The sport cloth maintains a better purchase while driving.
