With Jason David taking it hard right now, who were some other past Saints who were much maligned by the fans?
Off the top of my head, Johnnie Poe comes to mind. Others?

Fred Thomas, Jonathon Sullivan, Aaron Brooks (at times), Tebucky Jones, Dale Carter...

Players getting booed, (that I can remember)
1. 1995, Chip Lohmiller (kicker for a few games, after Morten). He missed an extra point, and several short field goals in pre-season and then again in Week 1-2 of hte regular season. We released him a few days later and signed Doug Brien.
2. Aaron Brooks
3. Fred Thomas (getting burned a lot in 2006)
these are the only 3 i can remmeber that when they touched the ball or got near the field you were like "oh sh**"

I don't remember Fred Thomas getting booed. He was pretty good until his injury and never really came back from it. Brooks got booed big time. Alex Molden got a few boo birds and Ditca got booed a few times.

I grew up wanting to kick Dave Wilson in the nuts.

I don't remember if it got to the point where they booed Russell Erxleben back in the day, but they should have...biggest waste of a 1st round draft pick ever, and he ended up in the slammer.

you are right, but we were cringing evertime Rex Grossman would drop back and look his way...

he got better at the end, but I was on suicide watch until about week 10, watching this guy shank almost everything.

Not that either were maligned but I read about Archie getting booed and Cooper & Peyton standing up and joining in and also Bobby Hebert, when he held out and returned, was booed and his little boy (at the time) stood up and booed too. I thought those were funny stories.

Good point, I've watched them since the beginning... there have been plenty of teams overall booed badly ala Aints and bags. I can't recall individual players getting a chorus of pointed boos in the first quarter of the second preseason game like JD. There is usually still hope and anticipation then. I think it may be cuz this team is so good looking that it makes his particular weakness standout all the more.
Erxleben did get harrassed rightfully so.

I don't remember this. In fact, he had a really good year in 2000. I think he blew out his knee during the end of that season.
I would say that Aaron got it pretty bad at times.

False. Weary was actually one of the best DB's that the Saints have had in the last decade, until he blew out his knee vs. the Rams.

would also like to add Carl Smith.

I pulled along side his expedition on Canal street years ago and saw him and his boys smoking a blunt!
