Just an FYI on OnX

I have randoms emailing and messaging me yearly about my hunting land. Thought it was a scam since I own no land that you can hunt on. Finally had a guy knock on my door asking for permission and pulled up a nice 128 acre parcel I own according to OnX. Had to call them and update their database. Don't get shot because of your OnX map. Always double check with tax accessor maps.

They didn't generate that data, they picked it up from an error the assessor or someone else had.

People will argue OnX is correct. Just a reminder tax accessor maps trump any app.

You realize Onx doesn’t create it themselves and literally pulls it from the tax assessor or other government sites right?

Our assessor website is 6 or months behind with updating ownership.

Start hunting it and if someone questions you, show them OnX

And even those are not always correct. They can be out of date, and boundaries aren’t 100% accurate. Some counties and Parishes worse than others.

Yes. I do. The guy I spoke to at onx told me they screw up.
