I would love to. I've got two elementary school aged kids that I've asked to go with me before and they acted like it was just ridiculous I would make them leave their devices for a weekend. So needless to say, it's been a few years since I've got to break out the gear and sleep in the woods.

That's one good thing about not having kids. I just load up the backpack, put in my dispersed camping permit, and head out whenever I want. Going next Wednesday for an overnighter at my little spot I scouted out in Sumter National Forest here in SC.

And since it's cold now, no need to take a tent for the bugs. Just a tarp lean-to and I'm good to go.
