Indy in the 1920s-1940s works.

The archeologist adventurer does not work for me in the 60s on.

Completely agree. Indiana Jones works in the first half of the century.

Set it in southeast Asia with the Viet Cong or Chinese commies as the villains. Maybe one of Lao Che's sons can be the main bad guy.

Mystery of the Blues

Many of us still remember Harrison Ford filming some scenes in the Young Indiana Jones episode “Mystery of the Blues.”

That was set in 1950 - Wyoming.

By the way, Young Indy worked very well with a different actor portraying Jones. It just never caught on with viewers like it should have - even though they invested a ton into making them.

I think it would work better today (with the young Indy format) as a 8-10 episode per season series on Disney +. Heck they could bring Harrison Ford back to do the part that George Hall did as the older Indy, narrating the story at the beginning of each episode.

Heck, the more I think about it - the more I like it. Hire me Disney!
