According to this advocate article, even more players may be leaving.
LINK
The article also reaffirms that CEO’s mishandling of the BLM protest in the summer has lead to this demise. I am not sure O can remain if the players do not trust him.

At this rate, will we be able to field a team?

Didn’t Saban come out and straight up say “All Lives Matter”?

His team is currently ranked #1. That has nothing to do with this and people need to stop pushing that narrative.

But let’s blame the “pussy” kids.

A couple of players leaving, ok. 20% of the team? Something else is wrong.

The article requires a subscription when I click on it. Can you quote it, please?

ETA: Never mind, after 3 tries, it finally let me delete the subscription request and it did not reappear with no option out as it had done before.

It will be tough. They are down to 69 scholarship players. They will probably lose a large number after the season to the draft and graduation. They are limited to signing 25, and at this rate, I will not be surprised if many of the committed recruits flip elsewhere.

Who needs probation when O is driving players off in record numbers.

Yeah that's why the players organized a March without O knowing. Nothing to see here.

The good news is that the culture of the players out there now will destroy it all. They have done it in nba, doing it in nfl, and college will fall too...

I love sports...but actually look forward to these thugs destroying their livelihood.

There’s another major factor that played out behind the scenes: Multiple sources told The Advocate that team morale turned south before the season even began, when a large group of players felt Orgeron mishandled a team meeting regarding the team's player-led march in August amid national protests against police brutality. The players skipped practice that day, met outside Tiger Stadium and marched to the university president's office without Orgeron, who later told reporters he didn't know about the protest before it happened. Orgeron met up with the players at the president's office and took part in a meeting that lasted about an hour. He later told reporters he and the players talked "about the things they're going through and how we can be a part of the solution." Privately, the meeting did not come off as productive as described. Orgeron and some players were upset during the meeting, multiple sources said, and while some players said the situation could've been handled better by all sides, other players left feeling Orgeron wasn't supportive.

You are comparing the GOAT coach to the shrimp boat captain who got lucky and started chasing pussy at the casino pool, clown world.

Nah, we’re actually taking about woke 18 yr old black kids getting their feelings hurt by words of two million dollar white guys.

But hey hoss, spin it however you want.

Saban probably handled the situation as a whole better than O. He’s an experienced program builder who knows how to manage his players. O just copies and pastes shite from Pete Carroll.

I don't know anything but if we lose enough key young guys again we could be looking at back to back losing seasons. I think O will be back whether we get waxed in our remaining games or not.

I think a lot of people saw that the blm thing was going to bite him before the season .
You could see the groundswell and O didn’t play along. Maybe some applaud that but black athletes sure won’t.
He happens to have a lot of those on the team
