Love it but I don't like that he glimpses what his family might have been. When reality comes back those poor little kids no longer exist. Which creates this since of loss and sadness.

In Its a Wonderful Life, George really has kids and he sees what life would be like without him, when he comes back the kids are there and happy to see him and you leave with a since of happiness.

Yeah...this is what I was hinting at above trying not to spoil the ending.

But yeah...the reverse works, but it's brutal because in the Cage movie there's real loss. Had it only been glimpses that would have been bad enough, because he'd have never learned to love them all. but having him live in that life for months only to snatch it away and never be able to get it back, even when he does go and find Tea...? Ugh...

And also again...

isnt that the point of the movie?

he made a choice and that choice had pros as in he got everything he initially wanted and consequences in that he lost out on the better life

he was soo scarred by that revelation that he decided not to waste another day of his life in order to pursue the real American Dream...porking Tea Leoni
