Half the guys wearing USA uniforms weren't even born here and barely speak english. Then that guy that should have beaten Phelps was actually BORN in America. Those distance runners from Kenya that are now "Americans" ring hollow to me - I really don't think that's something that should stir pride in us.

The whole thing is kind of a farce - the only reason I even care isn't that WE win - it's just that I don't want China to win the medal tables.

I'm assuming we'll pull away from them now that we're entering track and field?

Yeah I kind of agree. It's really hollow and hypocritical that when he's wearing a purple and gold outfit and running against Americans we'd all root for him, but because he's wearing red and running against Americans we want him to trip and fall.

Thompson will make the finals. He looked relaxed and ready to push it further. He could be the surprise, but not enough for gold. Jamacians look strong.

Root for USA on the world stage. But if "Team USA" is playing against LSU in any sport, it's Geaux Tigers"!

Who you "ROOT" for has NO bearing on who wins, therefore it is really irrelevent. No need to feel guilty or make a choice, just enjoy.

PS - USA
