I get what you're saying, because I fish for sport and wouldn't get any satisfaction from a trot line or gill net.
Better analogy:
Do you fish piers? Tops? Any other manmade structures that attracts the fish?

I'm just saying that people hunt for different reasons, just like people fish for different reasons. Those reasons will determine how you go about it and how much of a challenge you want it to be.
Like I said, I personally don't hunt deer for the challenge, so the "satisfaction" he's talking about isn't an issue. If he wants to jump on them out of a tree with a flint knife, more power to him.
