But that’s kind of the point. You think Kentucky, Duke, other top programs are playing for regular season titles?
Hell no, their aspirations and goals are much bigger than that. And going back to the original point, this program won’t compete for anything more than regular season titles until they fix their defensive issues.
Again. True significance. Regular season titles have significance, but things like wins in the tournament is what matters.

This program has never won a national championship and that's the bar you're gonna set. Natty or Will Wade needs to be out? We're showing signs that we could get there but that is certainly a ridiculous bar to set for LSU basketball.

Absolutely they are. 100% of teams have a goal of winning their conference. They also have other goals, but so do we. Even those programs, if their measuring stick every season is championships, or even final 4s, they are failing WAY more than not.

Duke and Kentucky? Lol Wade is in year 4, he inherited the worst conf record in program history but has still managed to win the SEC in his second season then had us in second on a down year the season after. Compare Wade to the 2 coaches at Duke and Kentucky, Wade won a conf title in year 2, for Coach K it was year 6 before his first conf title for Cal it was year 4. Coach K didn’t win a natty at Duke until year 11, Calipari didn’t win one until 23 years after becoming a head coach. So even if you wanna use unfair comparisons Wade is still outpacing these guys and doing it at a program that’s never had extended success or even played for a national championship.
