I'm hoping that Van Gundy's offense being a little more structured and a little less Gentry-stupid, Lonzo can cut down on some of the more ridiculous turnovers

This times 1000. A lot of the frustrating stuff Lonzo did came from being up tempo and taking risks in Gentry's system.

It isn’t a coincidence that he has the highest turnover rate in that offense. He wasn’t known to be turnover prone prior to coming here.

Gentry's offense mostly consisted of, "Go out and play." His defense, "What's defense."

I love Gentry as a person and an assistant, but he is not head coach material. I saw that half way through year one. It's why I zoned out for the most part the last 5 years.
