My brother's MIL did this during the 2017 Iron Bowl. I started to lose my shite, so I went upstairs to watch the game by myself. She just thought it was the best idea ever to come up to talk to me and figure out what exactly was going wrong. I am a man of manners and politesse, but frick, I wanted to rip her head off.

fricking feel this.... this drives me up a wall when I'm just casually watching thanksgiving games, but one year she did this in the middle of a really tense Saints/falcons game. As soon as halftime hit I looked at my wife and said, "Let's go were leaving!" Keep in mind we live 45 mins away so doing this meant missing some of the game....I didn't give a frick I was about to scream. Showing her true lack of awareness she texted my wife...is something wrong with Scott...I can't believe he left in the middle of a good game

If I can at all help it, I only watch football with other angry addicts like me. I understand (and even envy) those who think, "it's just a game!", but years of indoctrination and investment leave me unable to tolerate their casualness.
