Love seeing some OL in that class. Might be why we aren’t hitting it as hard this current year recruiting.
Has nothing to do with it. LSU can’t rely on freshmen and sophomore offensive linemen.

I heard Jordan Allen put the clamps on AJ Johnson last night.

Oh Fo sho Captain.
This 20 £.22 Louisiana class offers much more diversity from a positional perspective. On top of that there is higher in talent and then last year (from both a ratings perspective and straight quantity).
Probably won’t end up this way but I would love to see us close 2022 recruiting class with 13-14 of the signees from LA!!

We need a focus on OL in the future recruiting cycles - need to build depth with prospects that can be developed.

100% agree with you, SlidellTiger.
And the good news is that 2022 is just the year for us to make it happen. Based on the following highlights from the 2022 OL class, I hope Coach O sets a goal of 5 signees (4 HS & 1 txfr.) because this is attainable and would help bolster lighter hauls from previous two classes. Anyway, here’s my primary takeaways from an initial review of prospects offered.
1. We already have a verbal commitment from Lucas Taylor, a 4* OG from Alabama,
2. Hopefully, we keep Will Campbell and Emery Jones in-state for college.
3. Sign one of the eight 4* OTs from southern states where you’ve had recent recruiting success (TX = 5; FL = 3), and
4. Identify & sign the best instant impact lineman you can find, because we will need an instant contributor to assist our young and inexperienced OL in 2022 (b/c, we probably lose Dare, Ingram, Shanahan, &/or Hines from 2021 OL).
If we can accomplish these four things, it would be a home run hall of OL (likely two 4* OTs, two 4* OGs, and high-end txfr.)
