Lots of NOLA people have getaways and/or hunting property in Poplarville, MS. We didn't lose power at the camp there with the past storm. Flooding isn't an issue, just the wind.

Friend of mine retired there and bought 8 acres and built his house and put a small pond on the land. His main concern with his home site was the amount of tall pine trees.
He had the ones near where the house was going to be built cut down and has not had an issue with any house damage during storms.
