There ain't no way to prevent this...they will start getting that information from other kids at about 5 or 6. Most kids know by 8 or 9 and admit knowing at about 9-10. In my experience, 2 of my own, one niece that we raised and a sister 15 years younger than I.

Our son is 21 and he still gets a visit from Santa. My wife insists on it and he is not opposed to the idea. Its strange to see a bottle of scotch and a box of cigars in the Santa pile! She also sees to it that Santa comes to see me every year....and she gets a gift from Santa also.
