Hypothetically speaking if Mardi Gras happens this coming year would you choose to go? Or would you choose to sit this one out? Why or why not? I feel like (if it happens) it will be half assed with the parades either being super lame and / or moved to Jefferson parish.

It might not be up to Latoya. One of Biden's advisors wants a 4-6 week shutdown.
That is assuming he wins.

I'd go if I wanted to and not worry about it. Wouldn't wear a mask. I just don't like big crowds that much anymore so Mardi Gras isn't really appealing to me these days.

If you can’t drink outside, we’ve lost our country. My fat arse will be drunk on the neutral ground eating hot dogs, fried chicken and funnel cake no matter what.

Toya ain't giving approval to any plans.
She will put the blame on the krewes.
I'll go to whatever is happening within walking distance

Carnival occurs no matter what, it is tied to Lent and is a religious season. It is not dependent on parades or government officials, it is is mandated by God.

Lester says virtual parades will be just as fun

Zulu riders still won’t throw me coconuts

Couldn’t care less. They could cancel Mardi Gras forever and it wouldn’t bother me.

We went last year and spent a ton of money staying on St. Charles for a week and watched my daughter ride in Nyx. We thought the deaths were the worst thing that could happen. Never dreamed of something like rona. She also was one that left Nyx. So looks like we are back to partying it up in Metairie with our friends there whose store is on the parade route.

If held in Orleans Parish, would absolutely go. The Krewes that choose to roll will still have great parades, there will just be less people in the crowd (and maybe on some of the floats). The main weekend of Mardi Gras in 2021 would probably be more reminiscent of the usual first weekend crowd with less people, which is fine this year.
Should Mardi Gras parades move to Jefferson Parish, I’d probably still go check it out for the novelty of it but likely wouldn’t attend as many parades.
I go to parades to hang with friends, drink a few beers and enjoy the spectacle of it all. The spectacle will be different in 2021, but it’ll still be fun. It’s all what you make it.
