or are some BCS opponents going to get scheduled for 2010 and 2011?

Really hate to see another OOC like this year happen in 2010 and 2011. Zero BCS opponents scheduled for either year currently (yes I know Colorado backed out).

Most big name schools lock up their all the BCS OOC opponents a decade in advance. Why can't we do the same?

I'm going to assume that is rhetorical.

I believe that either AZ or AZ St. owes us a home game.

Why would you assume that was rhetorical? They owe us a home game. I don't know when they planned to return the trip and was asking you.

Arizona already fulfilled their obligation in 2006 and LSU's game in Tempe after Katrina counted as a home game. LSU owes ASU a return trip, but I'm not sure if it's been scheduled yet.

I read on ESPN that if VT had scheduled James Madison instead of LSU they would have gone to the ship...

I want good OOC but the system just doesn't reward for it. For now, the SEC is awesome and who needs the extra headache?

Well, given that the bye week will likely fall on either Oct. 14 or 27 in 2010, I doubt we'll see a BCS opponent (a strong one anyway) crammed between Florida and Auburn, or Auburn and Bama. Not to mention, we've got Tennessee at home on Oct. 2nd, then a trip to Florida, followed by either a OOC game or BYE and then it's off to JH vs Auburn.

Besides that, the only other option we have is September 25th for a BYE or OOC game. Right before the Tennessee game, too.

I'd imagine in 2011, Sept. 24th will be the OOC. I'd like to have the week off before playing Bama (after Tulane) late in the year, so the guys can get some rest and heal up a bit.

I'd say the best shot at getting a BCS school on our schedule in '11 is Sept. 24th before UK and after Miss. State.

I think It'd be nice to have a OOC game annually with the same team like Fla-Fla St. Or like the Texas a.m. games in the late 80's early nineties, maybe play Louisville, Texas, or Miami. That'd be nice

Starting in 2002, we have played a BCS team every year until this year. Many of those games were scheduled when LSU was down. Now that LSU is on top, it is much harder. BCS teams do not want to come to Baton Rouge. It is doable, but difficult. It is obvious to me that LSU officials are trying. They have scheduled Washington and have other BCS teams in the works. It would not surprise me to see something happen for 2010 and 2011.

Bitch bitch bitch. That is all some people do. When one of these BCS teams beats our arse one day, people will bitch about that and wonder why we scheduled such a tough team when our conference schedule is already hard enough.
