Recruiting safeties this year has absolutely nothing to do with fixing bad safety play this year. By the time these safeties are ready to play the existing ones will be gone. Safety is just like every other position; we recruit for two and three years down the line. If we need outside help next year it has to come from transfers unless we get very lucky, and one of these is an extremely fast learner.
Next year’s starting safeties are probably Hampton and Toles.

LB and safety play has been so bad this year that if I was a recruit at either of those positions I would believe I could get going day one - Raesjon directly said it when asked about our struggles this year.
Only thing I'm absolutely sure of right now is that I'm sick of seeing upperclassmen make freshman mistakes - if we have to live with those why not let the freshmen make them?
