LSU went out of their way to put on BCS stickers, Favorite's name in the inside, and scuffed it up just to fake their fans out.

Just because you couldn't cash in enough food stamps to come up with the $300, you gotta shite on everyone how got something.

TEABAG, do you have any factual information to back your claim? At this point in time, most people would trust an LSU represenative over someone with the screen name TEABAG15 on an internet message board.

The ones that were used last season and in the championship game were cleaned up and offered to the players for purchase. They also don't typically have the players name in them. Not saying it's not real but I do know from a starter (and who's helmet I purchased at a charity auction) how they handled it this year. That is about how much they sold them to the players for.

I got a white helmet at fan day yesterday. After looking at a few of them I decided on one that had #15 on the back. Here is the kicker. They had 2 other helmets with #15 on them. The one I got had a linemans face mask on it not one a QB would wear. Plus I know Matt Flynn's uniform was auctioned off after the Tulane game.

I also saw that some of the helmets had Schutt on the forehead and not Tigers. I am not saying that the helmets were not authentic but I am fairly certain I did not buy Matt Flynns helmet.

It had LSU purple and Tulane green scuffs on the helmet so it looks like it was used during the game.

Also I purchased this helmet b/c it had the same face mask as my yellow helmet I got in 2004 that has Niswanger labeled inside the helmet.

Just my 2 cents.

anyone know where i can get one of the purple jerseys we wore for tulane?

I can attest from a former LSU kid on scholarship they are in fact game helmets and /or practice helmets (they are rotated week to week)...we just thought that it would be funny to put Dunson's number on all of them that year...wasn't funny when we got yelled at.

That's cool. Also in five years when you are showing it off you can say "That's Marlon Favorite's helmet from the national championship game. Where is he now you ask, he works for Time Warner and is the best damn cable installer this side of the Mississippi!"
