I know of the traxler but it is a bit complex. There is another trap I play that almost always ends in checkmate. I don't even know the name of it anymore.
To improve. Solve a few riddles every day and analyze all of your games via the game report if you are using Chess.com.
It will show you the best move and rate your moves... good, excellent, mistake, blunder etc.
In addition to that watch some youtube videos and that are all over the internet or buy a book or two.
Do that and a beginners elo will move up quick.
I would steer clear of bullet games and instead play longer games, especially when just learning.

All of this is exactly what I'm doing. I grew up playing a good bit and just started back a few months ago. It's so much easier to learn now with all the tools and resources available. I'm audodger on chess.com if anyone wants to play.
