I understand this. Even Murf, whom I can't stand, loved the Pelini hire.. but that dude isn't always right either. Football people aren't always right. In fact sometimes they can be blinded by the past. I don't need to be a football person to be skeptical of a guy who isn't exactly producing in today's time. I didn't think he was that successful at a lower level. And yes, I understand HC is different, but he has not fielded a legit consistent D in how many years? I don't know football, but I do know results mean something. I do know some players just don't respond or care for certain styles of coaching.

LSU had to continue to pile on money just to get that man to leave Youngstown St. That was a huge concern of mine. He was content where he was and LSU had to keep upping the offer. That's questionable to me for a guy who isn't exactly lighting it up and hasn't for over a decade.
