So I have directv at my house, and I brought a receiver to my camp and to my parents camp and mounted a dish at each. Local channels are working fine at my house but not working at either camp. I cant really call directv for help since Im running the receivers at the camps and not the house. Any ideas? I tried resetting them, but that didn't help.

THanks in advance.

Where is the camp vs your house? Slot of locals come in on regional spot beams and won’t work if the camp is outside the spot beam.

Find an old cable wire. Run it outside and then strip the coating off the last couple feet. Voila all the local channels you'd ever want.

Have a similar issue where "local" channels used to work just fine for years and recently they became unavailable at camp.

If your camp is located in the same local tv market as your house. They may have moved the local channels to Satellite 119. Sat 119 programing is mostly local channels and foreign language channels. If you have a slimline 3 dish/lnb at your camp you only have Sats 99 101 & 103 and a slimline 5 dish/lnb at your house you get Sats 99 101 103 110 & 119. If this is the case all you would need to do is swap out the lnb on the dish at the camp to a 5 lnb. Look at your dish and see what lnb you have at both locations.

AT&T performed an orbital slot consolidation in 2019 if I remember right. Local and Spanish language programming moved down to 99, 101, or 103. For the last year or so techs have only been able to install Slimline 3 or Reverse band Slimeline 3 lnb's. How sure are you of your dish alignment, have you checked the signal strength in the settings menu?
