not sure what happened on my first attempt at this i think i hit submit like 5 times and it messed it up, still not good with computers so ill try it again... ive been a long time reader and finally feel like posting. as a 65 year old tiger fan for life ive been lucky enough to have been to almost every stadium in the SEC (minus kentucky and vandy, but who cares)...i was recently reading an article on LINK and they are having a vote for the toughest place to play in the country and was wondering other than tiger stadium what yalls opinions were...as much as i hate to admit it i was impressed with alabama, and suprisingly mississippi state in the late 90's those cowbells can be awful loud. Whats yalls opinions specifically the SEC, but also other stadiums you have been too. Im sure this post has been done a 1000 ways before but its always a fun discussion

I've only been to:
Tiger Stadium, mostly night games. Awesome.
Vanderbilt, no parking, two afternoon games, nice quaint little stadium, we lost one and won one.
Alabama, once, day game. Nothing exceptional.
MSU, day game. Same as Vandy. Little Stadium.
Ole Miss, I was a little impressed with all the pomp and circumstance they put into their games. Espescially considering their record. Surprisingly loud stadium.
Auburn, I've been twice, 1-1. Definately the loudest SEC stadium I've been to besides LSU's.

I've only been to two stadiums(I'm only 20
).
Those two are
-The Shoe(Many times) and
-The Big House.
From my experience, the Shoe > Big House pretty easily. Though, I will defend the Big House a little. Everyone always rips it down for how quiet it is compared to it's size. It might not get as loud as some stadiums, but it was still a good time. Well, other than the fact that we were forced to stand(and I had to stand sideways, not even being able to reach my hand forward to clap at certain points in the game. No, we weren't in the student section). The seats were crammed and the exits were incredible tiny.
Still a fun atmosphere though.

I've only been to three SEC stadiums. Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU. So take this for what it's worth.
Tiger Stadium is my favorite place to see a game. The atmosphere is unmatched. I'm looking forward to coming down to play y'all this year, because Tiger Stadium at night is just a special place.

Ben Hill Griffin is actually a great place to watch a game. I went in 02 and 04 and they were both night games so I think that may have added to the atmosphere, but it was great both times.

Getting to and leaving Ole Piss suxs. Their traffic situation makes ours look like you are doing 80. Leaving the 2003 game took forever. I have never had to pee so bad in my life. Their bleachers that I was in smells of a bad highschool stadium.
I really liked Bama's campus with the bars right down the street from the stadium.
Auburn's stadium and surrounding area blow.

I've been to all SEC stadiums. Some > once
IMO the toughest
SWAMP
UGA
TENN
BAMA
AUBURN
USC
ARK
MSU
OLE PISS
UK
VANDY
Not much difference in the top 5 because they're ALL tough places to play.
Notre Dame was not as tough as the top SEC schools, but was the toughest of any non SEC school i've been to.

I've been to three SEC stadiums other than Tiger Stadium. Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Out of those three, Alabama was my favorite. I went to Bryant Denny for the game in '05 and I was very impressed with their stadium. Nice campus and a great atmosphere, even though it's much more mellow than a Saturday at Death Valley. The Bama fans were also cool before and after the game.

Other than TS, Auburn and the Swamp are pretty good times although the Blue Jean Short wearing pricks have no idea how to act and I hope someone burns down the Purple Porpoise (if it is still there).

In the SEC, I have been to UGA, Auburn, Arkansas (in Fayetteville), Ole Miss, and TN. The best atmosphere I encountered was actually at Ole Miss, but my only visit was in '03, so I probably got a better than realistic impresssion.
Far and away the "nicest" stadium was Arkansas'. That is a first rate, modern facility.
Best combinantion of nice, large stadium and enthusiastic fans: Ga.
Auburn, for me, was big and loud enough, but I rate it behind Ga. and about equal to TN. TN has some really cool things - the way it looks in the seating bowl and its proximity to the river - but the stadium itself is a dump and seats at least 10k more than it should.

ive been to UF '06, Tenn '06, Bama '07 and Ole Miss'07
i wasn't too impressed with UT, one thing that disappointed me was how late the fans entered the stadium...i also didnt find it all that loud
florida was loud once they got the lead, but i didn't find the noise to be sustained all that well...also, the seats sucked...top of the end zone and you couldn't see the back of it
bama was fairly good, but i was still kind of disappointed
ole miss was surpisingly packed for the record they had last year, it was fairly lame though
to sum it up, my ranking would be uf, bama, ut, ole miss from my experiences

They probably had to finish drinking.
You can't fault fans for that

that would make sense, except alcohol isn't allowed on UT's campus, even during gameday
Same thing in Columbus.
...doesn't stop us from drinking

UF
Auburn
UGA
Alabama
VT
Tenn
SCAR
Arizona St
Notre Dame
UK
Starkville
War Memorial (arky in little rock)

The GA Dome playing against uga in 05 would be about 6th to 8th on that list…

Been to
Tiger Stadium
Bryant-Denny
Neyland
Vaught-Hemingway
Sanford Stadium
Jordan-Hare
Notre Dame Stadium
Spartan Stadium (Michigan State)
Best away experience was Bryant-Denny in '05. Worst was Jordan-Hare (proabably because LSU got spanked!) BTW Spartan Stadium is very similar to Tiger Stadium. Notre Dame reminds me of a big Tad Gormley Stadium.
