Top 5 program each year

As LSU AD and Coach personas, what changes would you prioritize and execute towards making LSU a top 5 team contending for CFP championship each year?

Some people will say you’re crazy or your expectations are too high but I’m right there with you!! With the talent in Louisiana and the talent that LSU brings in EVERY YEAR there’s absolutely no reason LSU shouldn’t be in the playoff/national championship picture EVERY season!

Just because you’re a top 5 program currently, doesn’t necessarily mean you have one of the best 5 teams every year. Clemson had a down year between Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence. They were still a top 5 program.

Convince your ignorant and impatient fan base to wait five years until you have a couple of strong recruiting cycles to be able to more consistently handle the normal attrition and annual mass NFL exodus from your roster.

Look at the immediate success at Arkansas this year. LSU STILL has superior talent but they look better because of legit coaching. The direction of the program will be a direct result of the hiring decisions on the staff.
Pelini should have the year to get it together but that's it. We need depth of coaching on that side too. No position group is playing fundamentally sound on defense.
