I heard something yesterday about a change to the policy for quarantines? I can't remember the specifics, but it sounded like the old guideline was something to the effect of, "if you have spent 15 minutes around someone who is positive you need to be tested and quarantine", and now it's just if you've been in contact with anyone at all.
They said that this will lead to far greater numbers of contacts to be tested.
So what they're doing is they're artificially creating these numbers with these ever-shifting "policies." All in an effort to oust Trump. They have weaponized the medical industry for political purposes. It's disgusting.

It had been being within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 consecutive minutes.
They changed that to 15 minutes within a 24 hour period. So say you are within 6 feet of an infected person for 5 minutes on the bus this morning, then another 5 minutes with them at lunch, and then another 5 minutes again this afternoon on the bus ride home, that is still considered a "close contact."

Yes, CDC changed the policy a few days ago from 15 *consecutive* minutes to 15 *total* minutes exposure to a person who tests positive now warrants quarantine and testing. So pretty much anyone in a workplace or school...
My company sent out an update this morning reminding us that our company policy follows the CDC policy. We’ve all been working as normal for months now but I know they have to CYA. We had a few people test positive in the last week or two at our main office, so now most of them need to quarantine. We’re having a record year in spite of everything and it almost feels like some unseen force is working to undermine that kind of success...
