TJ was a 50% passer in HS w/ 22 ints thrown as a varsity starter. That's concerning. He seemed to do well in camp settings but when I spoke to people who saw him play they all came away unimpressed.

I'm sure he's gotten better with college coaching and there is no doubting his size and arm strength.

You almost cant put any stock in high school numbers.

I trust that the best QB will get the nod. If it is Finley, lets get it on. If Max Johnson didn't have a cool name and an NFL dad, most on here wouldn't have an opinion.

Putting stock into HS stats is always silly especially when guys play on teams that lack talent. Finely played in a triple option offense that changed their style because of his throwing ability but ppl wanted to ignore that

Max threw 22 ints as well. Looking at high school stats on paper is such a lazy take. I've seen kids put up gaudy numbers at QB and didnt get nothing more than a Conference USA offer.

Its about upside. Both been on campus for 10 months. What TJ and Max did in High School is irrelevant now.

Do you know what Max Johnson's completion percentage was in high school? One hundredth percentage point higher than Finley's. 52% to 51%. Finley had more TD passes (57-49), more yards (7,242 - 5,236) and they both had 22 ints. What are your thoughts on Johnson? Are his 22 ints concerning to you as well?
