I’ve purchased a few Dunhill pipes over the years (only brand I know). Most sold for around $100, one went for around $400
Dunhill's are very good pipes. But 1919 to 1940 Kaywoodie's are easily equal to Dunhill's in briar and craftsmanship. KB&B owned Kaywoodie, and cornered the world briar market for a few decades. Kept the best for themselves, and supplied most other pipe makers with the rest.

After WW2 (early 1950's), Kaywoodie was sold to a company that cheapened the product, and sold tens of millions of them in drug stores, etc. It would be like some company buying Rolls Royce and cranking out millions of economy cars.

Kaywoodie's

I’ve bought a few over the years, but they never bring more than $10-$15 each. I wouldn’t know how to date them.
