He might not be a long term solution, but he has proven he can turn around a suffering franchise with a terrible front office.

5 of those 7 were TERRIBLE
Singletary is one of the worst NFL head coaches I've ever seen and he went 18-22 with basically the same team Harbaugh inherited. Most of the elements needed for a franchise turnaround were already in place before he arrived.
None of the likely open jobs are going to have a roster anywhere near as talented as the one he inherited with the Niners.
