The hummingbird helix 9 came preloaded with a ton of nautical charts, depths, bouys, shipping channels,, shipwrecks, etc.

Plaquemines Parish resident here.. just wanted to offer my opinion:

Bro, take heed to everyone’s advice here and make sure your rig is BEYOND safe to go out of Venice. Time and time again, I’ve seen people with your same attitude go out there and have the worst day of their life. It’s just not worth it. Especially since the inshore fishing out of Venice and the surrounding area is world class.

I’m not trying to be an a-hole, but you should seriously reconsider. I’ve seen it happen way too many times out here

I've never seen a preload that had a detailed coastal chart but maybe they do exist. Either way, you will have to either stick to the shipping channel or have a plotted course through one of the other passes if you don't want to bank on luck. Safe passage through other passes will not be marked on any preload chart so you'll have to stick to channel markers.
