Horrible list.

I bleed P&G but to think that LSUs class is on par with USC's at this point is ludicrous. (Both USC and LSU have the same number of prospects in the ESPN150).

It's the worst rankings I have seen this year by far. Take it with a grain of salt...

ETA: I don't want to fire any of you up on the USC comment, but AT THIS POINT, USC's class is much better than ANYONE else's in the country. If LSU finishes as strong as everyone thinks, THEN they are comparable.

According to this, we aren't even in Debose's top 5.

And even THEN, we're still not really that comparable. We can get Loston, Randle and McFarland and they'll still have our class beat because they will have signed the same (or more) 5-star guys and the rest will likely be 4-stars.

Some of the differences between ESPN 150 and rivals is just ridiculous, Mcfarland at 2 vs. 49?? I wish there was more consistancy

A lot of the discrepencies have to be manufactured. If ESPN came out with a top 150 that looked like Rivals (or Scout for that matter), what would be the point? They would basically be perpetuating the image that they're useless.

This is a link to the LSU commits as per ESPN...it shows all commits plus if the are in the ESPN 150.

LINK

I am most critical of Chris Davenport being ranked as the #5 DT, Faulk as the #66 OT, & Kenny Bell as the #47 WR.

Linx: I disagree with USC being better...there is a bias toward west coast guy because they are easier to evaluate because there are a lot more talent evaluators per capita in CA than the SE...that's my opinion...

Did you see that Ray Ray Armstrong was ranked ahead of Andre Debose. I live in the next city over from them. My cowoker played with them last year at seminole High; he claims that Armstrong is all around a better athlete then Debose which is saying a lot as some of you know. He just wasn't in the lime light, because seminole runs the option and Ray Ray is their QB. So he would just hand off to Debose and the other backs. He wasn't able to spend as much time as needed on defense. My coworker claims Ray Ray has the qualities to be one the best LB's In this class judging his Size and Instincts that he possess.

And they seem to do less with "more" talent.

As good as LSU's class has been, it's no where near USC's as of now. LSU definitely has the capability of finishing on par with USC though.
