Yea, even the 3 radiation therapists, who treat cancer patients by 1000's, were teary eyed at that comment. Grandson or granddaughter, if you don't spend more time with them, it's your loss. Make the time.

My dad’s dad died when I was almost a teenager I think. And he was a drunk piece of shite for the most part, so he wasn’t in my life at all really. My mom’s dad died when I was like 4 or 5 and I have some memories of him but now very many. One thing I’ve always wished is that I had closer relationships with my grandfathers (one of them anyway). I loved my mom’s mom but wasn’t what I would call “close” to her. But my dad’s mom is awesome and I have a million fond memories of her growing up. She just made 97 a couple weeks ago and I’m gonna be a fricking disaster once she finally goes. It won’t be pretty.
