I have 5 good batteries and one drops down to 7v when under a load while the rest are 7.75-8v when under an 80% load. Has anyone had any licj with using a trickle charger to bring a battery back to life. The battery reads full voltage when it is fully charged and not under a load its only when under a load that it drops.

Sounds like you need to replace at least one battery.

Yes I know which one is bad. I'm wondering if a trickle charge would help to fix it.

I think you are thinking about a de-sulfinator. I have used them with mixed results. They can be used to charge the battery also.

I replaced all the fluid with the battery restore kit but it hasn't worked as of yet.

Northern tool has sales on the desulfators occasionally, they have them on amazon too (of course), probably have a better chance with a de-sulfator on a battery that sits long periods. LINK

Read the specs of the charger, some may be multiple voltage. I'm not a battery expert but I think 6 and 12 volt are the lions share of what's out there. You can series charge two 6 volts on a 12 volt charger, I don't know about 8 volts, you may need a special desulfator for that.

If you plan on keeping and using the cart, you would probably be better off waiting for a sale on batteries -- or MAYBE buying used/trade-in batteries that are in better shape than yours.

Where are you located?

I have 6 golf cart batteries. Continental 2gcv-8’s that were barely used for about 4 months until I replaced everything with lithium’s.

Trickle charge will not help a battery that drains under loa$. It will look fine on the meter before you use it though.
