re: Can a hotel kick out hurricane evacuees?

Depends on the hotel for sure. I'm currently booked at a Holiday Inn in Lake Chuck for the next week or so. Doing storm restoration over there with Lily, Inc. Last night they slid a note under the door saying "We're closing due to the storm. Get yo arse outta here by Thursday PM." Note said they'd get with our travel department once they determined whether/when they could reopen. We tried to see if they'd hold a room open for some guys who are riding out the storm over there, and they declined.
