Did the Republicans put Garland to a vote after the election? I must have missed it.

They didn’t have to. Republicans controlled the senate and he would not have been confirmed.

Ffs, this isn’t complicated. Our system worked exactly as it was designed to whether you like it or not.

He didn’t have the votes. President nominates, senate advises and consents. They didn’t consent.

I do think they should have had hearings and had a straight up and down vote. He wouldn’t have gotten in. I don’t care for Mitch’s actions there but they were perfectly normal over the course of history.
