It's a stupid question (an "ooh, I got you" type) because the answer doesn't really matter.

If he says no - and he wins, he is not bound to never "pack the court." Kind of like the Republicans not being bound to wait to see what the American people say during an election year. Trump/Republicans win they set the rules and change the meaning of their answer. Biden/Democrats win, Biden/Democrats can do what they want regardless of what the answer to the question is.

If he says yes - and he loses, so what.

If he says yes and he wins - Congress would still have to pass a bill. What if the Republicans hold onto the Senate? What he wants doesn't matter because it won't get out of the Senate.

What if Democrats win the Senate? Then Biden/Democrats still have to decide if he wants to expend the political capital to pack it. Just because he said he would doesn't mean he will. Kind of like Trump/Republicans promising indictments since day 1...hasn't happened because there isn't the political will to get it done.

And, throw in the "everyone" knows politician's lie argument...he says no...he's lying. Hell, we all think we know his answer anyway, so what's the point of answering?

So, stupid question because the answer is worthless in my opinion.

Sure, it makes a great sound bite but it doesn't move the needle towards any clarity.

No they don’t. All they need are 50 seats in the Senate with Kamala being the tiebreaker. There is no set limit of SCJs in the constitution and we need to amend the constitution as soon as possible to cap it.

President Trump's current term ends in January of 2021, not October of 2020.

Isn't that true of almost every single issue? The President doesn't rule by decree so who cares what their stance is on any issue since nothing they say matters. I've seen a lot of bad takes on this board but this has to be one of the worst.
