Apple Music is great.

So is Spotify.
can i upload my 50,000 personal album tracks? no, didn't think so. its ok because i'm sure spotify has my 200+ rare FAX CDs from the 1990s, rare wax-only releases from 4AD artists in the 1980s, hyperium & projekt label artists, my 1,000s of razormaid song remixes, ultra-rare jazz collection and they never get into pissing matches with artists and labels and stuff in your playlists just DISAPPEARS. *cough* prince *cough* metallica
i remember gathering together all the james bond movies in netflix in the early days of the service and getting all excited to watch them in chronological order only to find 50% of them went POOF before I could watch them. then of course there was the perennial 'hide and seek' where they came back..then went away..then came back again.
we as a society have learned nothing from how streaming services treat us as consumers.
the ability to supplement google's current 'may be available to you depending on your geographical location' music collection with a rock solid set of my own personal music was the killer feature of google music and they just fricking RUINED IT.

Just came here to say that you most definitely can sync local audio files onto your Spotify premium account.
Continue on though.
