Spray fitting with penetrating oil like Kroil, etc. and wait a while. hold backup on the y fitting with another pair of pliers. Turn the water off in case things go to shite.

Thanks to all for the replies. I should go turn off the main in the front yard. If that takes a special tool I should have one at my MIL’s house. My FIL (may he RIP) worked for Nolan, a big plumbing supply company and is I’m sure laughing uproariously at my incompetence.

I plan to try to hair dryer heating suggestion and I have a can of PB Blaster or similar in the truck toolbox. It just won’t be easy to get at the threads as the spigots are inset into the wall in a little cubby.

Stuff works but it takes its time. I sprayed some on my wife and it took a month before it finally kicked in.
