Yeesh. I’d go find a new job. Obviously they don’t know how to negotiate a health plan or they hate their employees.

I’ve negotiated health plans twice for organizations. I can tell you we’ve never considered something this awful.
i work for a publicly traded company that offers Cadillac health coverage and pays a pretty large percentage. The $650 a month I pay is a pretty good deal imo

Tell me what you think a Cadillac plan is exactly. It also depends on what percentage of shared premium. I work for a Fortune 100 company, the point stands. If your share is $650 a month and they are paying $500 or $800 a month, that isn’t a Cadillac plan. That’s called high premium insurance and low cost share by your employer.

Again, what do you think a Cadillac plan is?

Let’s also not pretend like you’re a titan of industry. Your company isn’t paying $10,000-$20,000 in medical premiums for you.
