Beretta A300 v. Franchi Affinity

Which one do you experts prefer? I'm fixing to make the leap (after 44 years) from pumps to semi autos and have narrowed it down to these two.

I like the Franchi Affinity mainly because of the inertia system vs gas. Easy to clean and I haven’t had any issues in the 4 years I’ve had it. Really can’t go wrong with either though

Thanks, and they seem reasonably priced. What I found funny, though, is Bass Pro had the A300 (maple, not synthetic) for $949.99, and Cabela's had the same gun for $799.99. Both stores are owned by the same people, so what gives?

I was at the Cabelas in BR this week and they told me that certain new guns were marked down a bit. Why any new guns are marked down and why that doesnt apply to Bass Pro I have no idea.

I have no experience with either. I have an SX3 and had an SX2 before that.
The gas system has been very reliable in all kinds of adverse conditions. It is smooth shooting and handle 3 1/2" loads with ease.
It is sort of a pain cleaning the chamber, but I usually only do a complete break down once or twice a season.

I'm no expert, but my a300 has been a champ. It was submerged in a blind on one of it's first hunts. Only time I can remember a single issue is one time it didn't fully eject a shell when I was beaded down on a pheasant.

I think you’ll be perfectly happy with either as I believe both have stock shims to adjust for cast and drop.
The Beretta will be a little more involved in cleaning with the gas system but might add 3-5 min at the absolute most if the gun is extraordinarily dirty.

I have only heard good things about the Affinity. I have a synthetic A300. It has been great for me. They can be found for $600 to $650 on sale if you do some searching. I shot some skirrels this morning with it. Hi power 6's and no felt recoil.

I have both an older 391 Urika Beretta and just got Franchi Affinity. These guns cost about same but if want to spend $200more look at Affinity Elite.
Both great guns I got the Affinity 3 Elite for right at $1000on online is one with optifade timber and parkerized barrel. Love it would take this gun over any shotgun on market. Shot it pretty well in teal season.
I always loved how smooth my Beretta is but Affinity is just as smooth.
Not sure where you hunt but Affinity easier to clean with spring in forarm instead of stock.
Can’t go wrong with either Franchi is owned by Beretta.

A300 felt bulky to me around the grip and receiver. Went with the affinity elite

A300 is Beretta no frills gun. Still a good gun. My 10 yr old Eurika is a better gun. Go pickup Elte is is light, slim and smooth.

I have an Affinity as well as an a400. I honestly prefer the Franchi. Not that there’s anything wrong with the Beretta, it’s been flawless. Franchi has also, feels a little better on the shoulder, it MUCH lighter and was cheaper.
