Trump's taxes and his role as President

I don't blame Trump one bit for paying what he has in taxes. He is just playing the game, playing by the rules that were put in place before him.
But knowing what he knows about the tax code, and his duty to the people, is it not his responsibility to fix those loopholes he knows so intimately for the good of the people?
Or should he just do what is best for him?
*The President can submit bills.
*Even if it isn't ratified he can at least try.
*Loophole was a poor choice of words, he is simply filing his taxes under the current rules of the system.
*Everyone is more willing to deflect and argue semantics than actually consider intent.

Tax code needs to be completely ripped up and re-written

So, if I am hearing you right, you want Trump to declare himself a Dictator, circumvent Congress, and start "fixing loopholes". Ok.

TIL the President makes tax law.

Trump isn't the one bitching about it. The guy that has been a politician for 40 years, including 8 as VP, is the one that has a problem with it while at the same taking advantage of those same loopholes to save his own money.

Oh I didn't know he had no ability to effect tax code at all and has never done so during his presidency.

Um. Is trump now king of Congress?
Do they not do that Saturday morning cartoon on civics any longer? Pity
I’m just a bill..,

Isn't that what he is going for?
Posted on 9/30/20 at 4:58 pm to bamaclownbaby
How much is he paying in taxes?

I don’t think so but I see your honk now.

If people have a problem with how much he or anyone pays in taxes...your problem isn’t with him or that individual, it’s with the tax code.
Don’t be pissed bc they have CPAs that understand the tax code.
If you understood the tax code to save yourself 5% more in taxes....would you? Of course you would!
Be pissed at the very politicians who wrote the tax code....for their own advantage.
Bernie Sanders pays 12-14% as a millionaaaaa but never mentions himself. Anytime he’s met with the same rhetoric he throws at “1%” he gets pissyvand says he doesn’t make as much.
It’s a disingenuous argument

No, hell I am all for it. Once he gets rid of the IRS and all Federal income tax, then he can do Environmental law. Who wouldn't like to see most of that trash cleaned up so that we can get one 2 lane country road bridge done in less time than it took to build major interstates under Ike.

And the millions of Americans that know the difference, and are smart enough to utilize, between tax avoidance and tax evasion. You room-temperature-IQ dolts need to find something else to be concerned about.

Don’t think Congress would go for this. L O L

Never understood what a “loophole” is, a tax strategy is either legal or it’s not, and every part of the tax code is available to every taxpayer if it’s applicable to their situation
